Create you own pre-parsed job searches for Candidates

To save candidates from manually searching for jobs on your Jobtrain vacancy search page, you can create ‘pre-parsed’ / filtered searches simply by adding extensions to your Jobtrain URL. You can then add these URLs to adverts, articles or areas on your website careers pages.

Some examples

Show jobs for a department if your business

Format: (Your Jobtrain URL)?lstdepartment=(department id number)
https://www.jobtrain.co.uk/clientname/Home/Job?lstdepartment=16

Show jobs for a division of your business

Example: https://www.jobtrain.co.uk/clientname/Home/Job?chkdivision=4

Or a category of job
https://www.jobtrain.co.uk/clientname/Home/Job?chkCategory=28

Or a region
https://www.jobtrain.co.uk/clientname/Home/Job?lstRegion=23

Or a location
https://www.jobtrain.co.uk/clientname/Home/Job?lstLocation=18

You can also make combinations, for example
https://www.jobtrain.co.uk/clientname/Home/Job?lstRegion=17&chkCategory=12

In this example:
Category = Sales (ID=12)
Job Region = United State (ID=17)

What to do next:

  • Decide on the components you wish to include
  • Go to Settings in Jobtrain > General Settings
  • In General Settings you will find regions, locations, divisions, departments, and categories
  • Opening each record within these tables will give you its ID in the URL at the top of the page:
  • Save this ID to add to your URL as per the examples above
