Post to Reed Activation Process
Each time we want to activate this for a client, we need to message the Reed account manager for the below details:
- Username
- Posting Key
Please also ensure the following:
- The Reed account manager has set up your client account with: External URL option switched to YES otherwise applicants will not come into Jobtrain (apparently, this is a default setting when Reed creates a new account, however, it was missed for one of Jules' clients.)
- Reed has activated the feature on their end to send Candidate ID and Application ID data to Jobtrain.
If Reed have not activated the feature on their end the apply side of the integration (Refer & Populate or Direct Apply) will not work and candidates will have to manually apply for the role without any of their information from Reed pulling across to Jobtrain.

Hi there,
Re: <insert client name>
Please can you provide the following information for <Client Name> so we can set up the Integration:
Username Posting Key
Please can you also confirm that you have activated the ATS integration on your end (sending candidate id and application id to Jobtrain) and that the External URL option is Switched to yes on your side.
Thank you,

Step 2 – Raise a ticket to activate the feature
Once you have obtaining the relevant information from Reed, you’ll need to raise a ticket for Ejaz to switch on the feature (search for ticket template within Freshdesk).
Step 3 – JTadmin
Once Ejaz has activated the feature you then need to add in the account credential to JTadmin
- Login to JTadmin
- Client
- Just under Client Configuration you will see Reed Accounts – click here

- The client account details may have already been added by Ejaz here if not click Add and add in the relevant credentials

- Client ID = 1945146
- API key = 3ef1aef6-a655-4077-89e0-944aafb547d2
- Description = If the client is setting up multiple reed accounts give it a clear label here e.g Primary Reed Account
- Username = Add in the username provided by Reed
- Posting Key = Add in the posting key provided by Reed
Once you have completed all information click Save.
Step 4 – Security Roles
From the client side follow the below steps:
- Settings
- Open the relevant Security Roles that will need access to this feature
- Go to Create/Update Job tab

- Under Post The Job Toggle Reed on
- Under Post Job To Reed select the account that they will be posting jobs with
You have now finished the setup steps required to activate this feature, it is recommended you then set up a call with the client to talk them through how to Post to Reed and share the Post to Reed User guide with them.
CSC’s will normally have had a conversation with the client outlining the 2 application methods (Direct Apply or Refer & Populate).
If not you can refer them to the Reed Integrate with Jobtrain User Guide to help them understand which application method will be best for them.
