Implementation - Advertising channels available through Jobtrain

There are a variety of attraction channels available via our Jobtrain platform to support you in sourcing applicants from the most suitable talent pools.

Free job feed integrations

All externally advertised vacancies are automatically posted to:

  • Indeed
  • Google for Jobs
  • LinkedIn (requires setup)
  • Teacheroo (requires setup)
  • JobsGoPublic (requires activation)
  • NHS Jobs (requires setup)

Candidates are directed to apply for the vacancy as advertised on your external candidate site and source tracking is automatically captured and reportable.

You don’t need to provide any information to configure this.

If you are already advertising jobs on Indeed, then you should consider setting your Jobtrain Client Name to the same name as your Indeed account.  This will ensure that once you begin posting jobs through Jobtrain, the vacancies will automatically appear on your existing Indeed company page.

A note on Adzuna, Talent.com and ZipRecruiter: we no longer post directly to these job boards. You may still see your vacancies appear on them, as they can scrape jobs from other sources, but this is outside of our control and cannot be relied upon. Given the low application-to-hire ratios we have seen from these feeds and the development work required to rebuild them, we are unlikely to re-establish direct posting to these boards.

Social media job postings

We provide RSS Feeds of advertised vacancies that you can connect to your company or personal LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook accounts.

We recommend using a social posting platform to manage social media posting.  Some of these providers (e.g. Dlvr.it) offer 10 social postings per day free of charge, with higher posting allowances available for a fee.

There are alternative providers to Dlvr.it to manage social media postings so you may wish to shop around.

Jobs posted to social media sites via this method are shared as status updates rather than listed jobs.

Please see our guide on steps to set up social feeds when you are ready to do this.

Paid job board advertising / multi-posting

Connect and post to your paid job board accounts (access to over 1500 job boards) in a few simple clicks and automatically record source tracking metrics to monitor the effectiveness of each advert source.

Every time data is transferred from the Jobtrain platform to your job board providers, this incurs a £5 fee (posting costs with your job board providers still apply).

You may wish to check your Licence Agreement as a number of multi-posting credits may have been included in your agreement.

Please see our job board multi-posting guide for further information.

Our Implementation or Support team will configure the multi-posting service to connect to your required job boards.

Alternatively, if you are a Broadbean customer, we can also offer an integration with Broadbean to connect and post to your paid job board accounts.

Direct apply options

We offer several direct apply options, allowing candidates to submit their application directly from the job board advert (without having to complete your own application process).

This can be useful in industries where talent is scarce and you want to reduce any potential disengagement in re-directing the candidate to apply on your own website.

Our direct apply options include:

  • Indeed Direct Apply
  • Reed (job board fees apply)
  • Totaljobs (job board fees apply)
  • CV Library (job board fees apply)

Please note that Reed and Totaljobs no longer support Refer & Populate. Both now work on either a Redirect basis (the candidate is sent to your own application form, pre-populated where possible) or a Direct Apply basis (the candidate applies without leaving the job board).

If you are interested in using these Direct Apply options, please let your Implementation Manager or our Support team know, and we can activate this functionality in your live Jobtrain system.
