            How Jobtrain supports the Disability Confident Scheme

            In the UK, 14.1 million people (1 in 5) are disabled. Of those, over 70% are thought to have non-visible disabilities. (Business in the Community, 2021).

             

            Disabled people have to apply for 60% more jobs to get hired. (The Independent, 2021).

             

            Money spent by those with disabilities and their carers is £249billion per year.  (BBC,2021)


            What is the Disability Confident Scheme?


            The Disability Confident Scheme supports employers to make the most of the talents disabled people can bring to your workplace.


            It replaced the ‘Two Ticks’ aa scheme that sought to guarantee interviews for disabled people.

            Disability Confident Scheme related features within Jobtrain

            Within the core functionality of Jobtrain there are a couple of features to help with administering the Disability Confident Scheme (DCS) within your recruitment process.


            DCS logo on the candidate portal

            Your Jobtrain candidate portals already contain the Disability Confident Scheme logos, but these are deactivated by default. There are 3 logos for the 3 levels to choose from:

            • Disability Confident Committed (level 1)
            • Disability Confident Employer (level 2)
            • Disability Confident Leader (level 3)

            Simply contact our Support Desk to activate your desired logo.

            Your Jobtrain application form builder contains 3 pre-built questions (optional to use) relating to disability, one with a free text response, and two with ‘yes/no’ responses.

             

            If used, you can choose to link the yes/no disability questions to the activation of an against the candidate record, in the candidate listing for the vacancy where candidates answer positively.

            Additional Functionality to help employers and candidates
